The Atlanta Braves have won the last three NL East titles. In last year’s shortened season, they finished 35-25 and advanced to their first National League Championship Series since 2001. Below, we look at the Atlanta Braves’MLB futures odds, including their projected 2021 win total and World Series odds at BetMGM.
In last year’s postseason, they held the Cincinnati Reds scoreless in a two-game sweep in an NL Wild Card Series and swept the Miami Marlins in three games in an NL Division Series. The final two games vs. Miami were shutouts, too.
In the NLCS, they lost a heartbreaking seven-game series to the eventual World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers. The Braves won the first two games and split the next two for a 3-1 series lead, needing just one more win to claim their first NL pennant since 1999.
In Game 5, they scored the first two runs but lost 7-3. In the deciding Game 7, the Braves scored the first two runs again and led 3-2 after 5½ innings but lost 4-3.
1B Freddie Freeman won the NL MVP after hitting .341 with 13 homers and 53 RBIs, while leading the majors in runs (51), doubles (23) and extra-base hits (37). OF Marcell Ozuna hit .338 and led the NL in homers (18) and RBIs (56).
LHP Max Fried finished fifth in the NL Cy Young voting after posting a 7-0 record with a 2.25 ERA and 1.080 WHIP in 11 starts.
In the offseason, Atlanta added RHP Charlie Morton and LHP Drew Smyly to the rotation, with 3B Jake Lamb and 2B Jason Kipnis (if he makes the team) adding offensive depth.

Odds: +900 (bet $100 to win $900)
Only the Dodgers (+350) and the New York Yankees (+600) have shorter odds, while the San Diego Padres (+900) are the same as the Braves.
You won’t see longshot odds of +800 during the World Series, the odds usually sit in the negative, and even the underdog team commonly only has +120 or so.
At +900, the Braves’ implied probability of winning the World Series is 10% or 9/1 fractional odds. BACKING THE BRAVES at 9-to-1 isn’t a terrible bet and offers better value than the Dodgers and Yankees.
The Pittsburgh Pirates are the biggest long shot at +15000, which is an implied probability of 0.66% or 150/1. The Arizona Diamondbacks, Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals are each +10000 for an implied probability of 0.99% or 100/1.

Over/Under: 91.5 (O: -110 U: -110)
The Braves won 97 games two years ago during the last full season but were 90-72 in 2018 when they claimed the first NL East crown during this current-3 title run.
As long as the key players avoid lengthy injuries, the Braves should win enough games for an Over winner.
The Braves’ implied probability of winning the division is 43.48% or 13/10 fractional odds. There’s just not enough value in betting them here.
Odds: +500 (bet $100 to win $500)
Again, only two teams have shorter odds – the Dodgers (+175) and the Padres (+400).
At +500, the Braves’ implied probability of winning the NL pennant is 16.67% or 5/1 fractional odds.
The Pirates (+8000) and Diamondbacks (+5000) are the longest shots.
A 5-to-1 payoff doesn’t excite me enough to bet it.
