The League of Legends World Championship ('LoL Worlds' for short) is the annual professional League of Legends world championship tournament operated by Riot Games. It is the largest tournament in LoL esports and is held at the end of the season in October. Qualifying teams are determined from the LoL Pro League in China, League Championship Korea operated by OnGameNet in Korea, LoL Master Series in Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau, LoL Championship Series from North America and Europe, and various other regions. These teams compete for the champion title, the 70-pound (32 kg) Summoner's Cup, and a multi-million cash prize.
